Caravaggio – until Sunday 13th June.

Celebrating the 400th anniversary of the death of Caravaggio the Scuderie Del Quirinale hosts an exhibition including many of Caravaggio's most representative works, including the Bacchus from Florence's Uffizi Gallery, the David With the Head of Goliath from the Borghese Gallery in Rome, the Musicians from the Metropolitan Museum in New York, the Lute Player from the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, Amor Vincit Omnia from the Staatliche Museum in Berlin, and various other masterpieces from around the world. Edward Hopper – until Sunday 13th June

The Museo Fondazione Roma hosts an exhibition dedicated to the American painter Edward Hopper. Features over 160 examples of his work. Open Monday from 10:00 to 15:00, Tuesday– Friday from 10:00 – 20:00 and Saturday – Sunday from 10:00 – 22:00. For more info visit: www.dexma.it

Fanta Festival – until Sunday 6th June.

During July

Rock in Roma Festival – Tuesday13th July – Saturday 31st July.

Annual rock festival with concerts being held at the Ippodromo delle Capannelle. Guests this year include The Cult and Skunk Anansie. Tel: 06 454 96305. See: www.rockinroma.com

July Sounds Good – Friday 25th June – Saturday 31st July.

Fiesta! – Thursday 24th June – Thursday 15th July.

Annual Latin American festival held at the Ippodromo delle Capannelle. The festival includes dance classes, live music, food stalls and a disco.

During August

Tiberina Island Film Festival – 15th June – Sunday 29th August.

The Isola Tiberina hosts it's annual film festival complete with outdoor cinema, seminars and previews. Visit: http://www.isoladelcinema.com/index.php

Along The Tevere Festival – Tuesday 15th June – Sunday 29th August.

Rome Meets The World – Friday18th June – Saturday 7 August.

Annual world music festival in the Villa Ada. The area is open to the public from 20:00 and concerts start at 22.00.
